February Be Over Soon!

January was easy and laid back. February has been exhausting! First Dad came down with pneumonia. Don't know how as we were being more active with lots of walks in the park and steadily building muscle strength. then wam! He couldn't breath and ended up in Boswell Hospital. Sent home with antibiotics and told to rest he has been miserable with congestion and breathing issues. I had to get him the walker out because he was so weak. Then he developed a rash that was painful and difficult to heal. I found a new product called Healthy Living Skin that was the answer to our prayers! A PR client had sent it for me to review and what a blessing! So Dad is finally getting better after almost a month.
The same week Dad was in the hospital, they changed Mom's meds and the new pills put her into the hospital with a minor heart attack within an hour of taking them! Her heart is unpredictable as it was but this really pushed her over the edge. I was a mess seeing the monitors blinking warnings in red every few minutes. The doctor prepared me for the worst but then she rallied and went home as if nothing had happened. She has been very sore feeling as if a mule kicked her chest and shoulder. But she can't recall anything that happened. Her Alzeheimers has taken another leap forward with even greater confusion.
The stress and exposure to the hospital waiting rooms gave me an upper respiratory infection as well. I have that problem where my breathing gets so loud and labored I wake myself up thinking there are strange noises only to realize it's me! But lots of good nutrition, rest and Kangen water has me recovered fairly quickly.
I missed out on several events I would have liked to attend but that's the way it goes for caregivers.
